  1. Series X Power button issue / Update question

    Hi all,

My Series X will automatically turn off it if I do not press any buttons after 10 seconds or so. This only started happening around 24 hours ago. After numerous attempts I am currently on version RS_XBOX_RELEASE_2011\19041.5495.201209-2330 but have no option to update further.

    RS_XBOX_RELEASE_2011\19041.5496.210105-1930

    System

    • Fixes to address consoles shutting down unexpectedly while in standby.

Is anyone else able to get the above update yet as I believe this will fix my issue.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. I was planning on sending back until seeing this yesterday. Only signed up to insider program or at least had the app downloaded today.

Xbox Series X power button blinks rapidly when I try to power it on from controller and then it doesn't power on.

The rapid flashing of the power button on the Xbox Series X indicates that there may be an issue with the console's power supply or the internal hardware.

Xbox controller working but Xbox not seeing the commands

    Hi

Thank you for posting to the Microsoft community.

I understand that you are experiencing an issue with your Xbox Series X where the controller is working, but the Xbox is not responding to the commands. I'm sorry to hear that you are facing this issue, but I'm here to help you resolve it.

Firstly, I would suggest you try resetting your Xbox Series X and your controller. To reset your Xbox Series X, press and hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off. Then, unplug the power cable from the back of the console and wait for 10 seconds before plugging it back in. Turn on your console and check if the issue is resolved.

To reset your controller, press and hold the Xbox button on the controller for 10 seconds until it turns off. Then, press the Xbox button again to turn it back on. Once the controller is on, try to connect it to your Xbox Series X and check if the issue is resolved.

If the issue persists, I would suggest you try updating your Xbox Series X and your controller to the latest software version. To update your Xbox Series X, go to Settings > System > Updates & downloads > Console update. To update your controller, connect it to your Xbox Series X using a USB cable and go to Settings > Devices & accessories > Accessories > Xbox Wireless Controller > Device info > Firmware version. If there is an update available, follow the on-screen instructions to update your controller.

If the issue still persists, I would suggest you try connecting your controller to your Xbox Series X using a USB cable and check if it works. If it does, then the issue could be with the wireless connection between your controller and your Xbox Series X. In this case, I would suggest you try resetting your wireless connection by going to Settings > Devices & accessories > Accessories > Xbox Wireless Controller > Disconnect > Connect.

If none of the above steps work, I would suggest you contact Xbox support for further assistance. They will be able to provide you with more advanced troubleshooting steps and help you resolve the issue.

I hope this helps you resolve the issue with your Xbox Series X. Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

We look forward to your response.

    Truly Yours,

    Fatima

Sonic Generations on Xbox Series X?

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with Sonic Generations on your Xbox Series X. This could be due to a compatibility issue with the game and the new console. I would recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if they help resolve the issue:

    1. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game to see if that resolves the issue.

    2. Check for any available updates for the game and make sure it is fully updated.

    3. Clear the cache on your Xbox Series X by holding down the power button for 10 seconds until it turns off, then unplug the power cord for 30 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on again.

    4. If the issue persists, you can try contacting Xbox support for further assistance.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

My Xbox Series X doesn't send out the signal to TV.

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    good evening

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble viewing your Xbox Series X on your TV. Here are some things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

Check the HDMI connection: Make sure the HDMI cable is properly connected to the Xbox Series X and the TV. Check the HDMI cable or HDMI ports on your devices for visible damage.

Check TV input: Make sure your TV is set to the correct input for the HDMI port your Xbox Series X is connected to.

Restart Xbox Series X: Try restarting your Xbox Series X by holding down the power button for 10 seconds until it turns off, then unplug it and wait a few minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on.

    Reset display settings:

If there is a disc in the console, eject it.

On your console, press and hold the Xbox  button for 10 seconds to turn it off.

Press and hold the Xbox  button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You will hear a beep immediately and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash before the second beep. Don't let go until you hear the second beep or see the console boot into low-resolution mode (the Xbox boot screen will appear slightly pixelated).

Note If you have an Xbox Series S or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, you will need to press and hold both the Xbox  button and the Pair button as your console does not have an Eject button.

Check for updates: Make sure you have the latest update for your Xbox Series X installed. Updates can sometimes fix display issues.

    Hope these suggestions help!
