Series X port selection

So Ive been trying to play Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Rogue Squadron but, get error 721 everytime i try to connect online. I did some research and learned that i need to open another port. My xbox is on 3074 and those titles require 3659.

I followed the steps from my internet provider to set up port forwarding on my router but, the new port will not populate in the drop down box on the port selection screen on the xbox. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

Changing the port allows for you to have multiple Xbox's on the same network.

Port forwarding will not make the port appear in the port selection, these ports are pre-defined default ports in the console.

Doing port forwarding with the ports that Live and Game needs you should be fine.

I also like to use the DMZ function, this leaves any port the console needs unlocking. Just save the console IP in the DMZ zone.

Yes mate the Xbox Series X will have an optical out port, 2 HDMI ports, 2 USB-C port, Ethernet

Yes, you can play Rainbow Six Siege with a keyboard and mouse on Xbox Series X/S.

Connect your keyboard and mouse to your Xbox Series X/S console. You can connect them directly to the console's USB ports or use a USB hub if you need more ports.

Once your keyboard and mouse are connected, start up Rainbow Six Siege on your Xbox Series X/S.

In the game's main menu, navigate to the Options menu.

From the Options menu, select the Controls tab.

From the Controls tab, select the Controller Type option.

Change the Controller Type to Mouse and Keyboard.

Customize your keyboard and mouse settings to your liking.

I had the same / similar issue with my old 4K 60hz none HDR / HDMI 2.0 monitor when watching movies and some times in games with the Series X,

As soon as i upgraded my monitor to a 4K 144hz monitor that has HDR / HDMI 2.1 ports, i no longer had this problem,

I'm not sure what the problem is, but my guess is that the HDMI 2.1 port on Series X doesn't play well with HDMI 2.0 port of monitors, or it's the Series X trying to force HDR on, even if the monitor does not have / support HDR and the HDR in Series X menu's is turned off.
