    Series X (Open NAT) multiplayer not working.


    I'm officially throwing in the towel and asking for help as this problem has me completely stumped. We just got AT&T fiber and I have spent days trying to figure this out.

    Two Xbox Series X's

    AT&T BGW320-500 Gateway

    Netgear Nighthawk MR60 for mesh Wi-Fi (set to access point mode)

    Wife's Series X (my HOME Xbox) hardwired to gateway and with port forwarding set to her IP she gets an open NAT. She can connect and play anything with zero issues.

    My Series X is hardwired to the gateway using IP passthrough to get an open NAT. My Xbox connects to the internet just fine. All tests pass (including the multiplayer step), yet every single game says it can't connect when I try to do anything that involves online services.

    Things I've also tried:

    - IP passthrough on the gateway to another router that has worked well for both of us for years

    - Manual IP settings on my Xbox (both configs)

    - My Xbox connected by itself

    - Every possible alternate port

    - Alternate MAC address

    - Port forwarding tied to static IP (both configs)

    1. Have tried connecting the console without using any additional routers besides the equipment they received from AT&T? As some ISPs do not support some routers, that could be the issue.



    Yes I have. I disconnected every single device from the gateway except for my Xbox and still had the exact same scenario of everything working online, but games not be able to connect when attempting multiplayer (both with port forwarding and IP pass through).

    2. Have you contacted AT&T to ask for help or ask if the equipment is supported?

    I have not. I like to try and solve things on my own and learn as much as I can before asking for help, although I am almost desperate enough to try this. lol

    3. Were there connectivity issues with their previous ISP? Or did this specific issue happen when they switched to AT&T?

    We moved to a new house a few towns over that our previous service provider does not cover. I have heard good things about AT&T fiber, so signed up for that.

    For us to sort out the accurate resolution allow us to ask more details and ask you to do some steps to fix your issue.

    1. Have tried connecting the console without using any additional routers besides the equipment they received from AT&T? As some ISPs do not support some routers, that could be the issue.
    2. Have you contacted AT&T to ask for help or ask if the equipment is supported?
    3. Were there connectivity issues with their previous ISP? Or did this specific issue happen when they switched to AT&T?
    We also suggest checking on this support article Troubleshoot NAT errors and multiplayer game issues and contact AT&T and Netgear for support on the product.

    Try to reset the console and keep games and Apps, and see if that fixes the problem. If the consoles connect fine after trying those suggestions, then it's the equipment and not the console has the issue.

    Xbox network failure bit have trouble shooted all suggestions

    Series X.

    Internet connections is fine.

    I have tried everything.

    If it helps it won't test multiplayer, Nat (but is open)

    just says there is a problem but no error codes.

    Is not connected to Xboxnetwork. Has been before previously with no issues.
