Series X keeps kicking me from games

Hello there @NateR90, I hope everything is going well!

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. I am sorry to know about the connection situation, but I want you not to worry about it because I am here to help you out! I believe your console might need either a network reset or just a system refresh.
I would like you to go through the following steps to clear the Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console to check if it's
    installing this time.

Another thing you should check is your NAT type. I would like you to check your NAT type if open because that could sometimes interfere. to check for the NAT type you can follow the steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > NAT type => It should be open.

If the NAT type is not open, you will need to open some ports with your internet provider. These ports must be open for Xbox Live to work: Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) Port 500 (UDP) Port 3544 (UDP) Port 4500
    (UDP).

In case the issue still persists after the previous steps have been performed here is the official link to all the network troubleshooting steps that can help sort this out for you.

The link: Troubleshoot your network connection speed | Xbox Support

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you
to sign in to the account.

I wish you a lovely day, and I hope this helps you out! All the best!

    Kind Regards

    Stay safe, and happy gaming!

Xbox series X keeps kicking me from games and resetting why?

Hi, my name is Marvina and I will be happy to help you.

I'm sorry you have this problem. Follow the instructions below for a solution.

Sometimes a game crashing or starting issue can be caused by a temporary issue that may be fixed by simply quitting and restarting the game. If the game is running, try exiting the Home screen. This is the way to do it:

Press the Xbox  button on your controller to open the guide.
Note Some crashes may prevent you from exiting the game. If you can't return to the Home screen, continue with Step 3: Power cycle your console.
Highlight the game, press the Menu button  on your controller, and select Exit.
    Try restarting the game.
If this step didn't work, continue with the next step.
Try turning your Xbox console off and on. Turning it off and on completely resets the console. This does not mean that the games or the data they contain are deleted.

Turn off the console by pressing the Xbox Button  on the front of the console for at least 10 seconds.
Turn the console back on by pressing the Xbox Button  on the console or the Xbox Button  on the controller.

Note If you don't see the green startup animation when you restart your console, repeat these steps. Press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds until the console turns off completely.

Once you have completed the steps above to turn your console off and on, try restarting the game.
If this step didn't work, continue with the next step.
Sometimes a problem with the network connection can affect the game.

This is how you can test your connection to Xbox:
Press the Xbox  button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.
Note Network outages will appear in Current Network Status.

On the Network Settings screen, select Test network connection. If the connection test is successful, the console will connect to the Xbox service.
NoteIf you are prompted to update the console software, select Yes.

I hope I can help you solve it.

    Best regards,

Xbox series X keeps kicking me from games and resetting why?

None of these suggestions solved the issue. we are still getting booted to the home screen and sometimes the console resets. It seems to be only online multiplayer games. I tested this by using all my multiplayer games (battlefield, call of duty, fortnite). it kicks back to the home screen within 10 minutes. I then Played Starfield for over an hour to see if anything happens. Nothing. The game stays active. It seems to be only when online play is happening.
