Series x internal drive sometimes doesn't show installed games

So I have about 20 games installed on the internal SSD and sometimes when I reboot the console those games won't show on my installed list, if I goto manage storage I can see the drive and the correct space remaining but selecting it shows no games. Oddly it will show the apps on the drive. Sometimes I have to reboot a few times for everything to show properly.

I do have a 5tb USB drive with about 120 games they all work fine and I have another 2tb attached just for videos and such which is also fine.

Hoping this is a firmware bug and not a bad sign for the console having a defect, hoping someone else has some insight or experience with this.

    3.0 2Tb Seagate HDD comparability

    Hi,

Your drive will work the same on Series X as it does on Xbox One and you won't need to format it.

However, Series X games or Xbox One games with Series X enhancements will not run from that drive and will either need to be installed internally or to an external SSD designed for Series X/S.

Your hard drive will be too slow for Series X games. They can be stored there, but not run from there.

Xbox Series X games can only be installed on the console's internal storage. External hard drives are not fast enough for those games.

Games refuse to install on my external storage device.

You must install series X games to the internal hard drive. After which you can move them to the external for storage

External Storage for Xbox One and Xbox S

You can use a hard drive that is USB 3.0 or 3.1 It doesn't have to be an SSD. I have a regular HDD myself and it works fine.

On the Series S/X, Series S/X games and upgraded One games will only run from the internal drive or the Seagate Expansion Card. You can still store the games on a USB storage device and move it to the internal to play if needed.

Pre download Xbox Series X games

    Not really...

Xbox Series X games / upgrades / updates has to be installed onto the Series X internal or expansion card SSD,

You can have Xbox One games on your external hard drive that will get an Series X upgrade but the games will need to be transferred to the Series X and then the Series X upgrade will need to be downloaded onto the Series X SSD,

    As an example...

I have Marvel Avengers on my external hard drive that will get the Series X upgrade and I will transfer the game over to the Series X SSD ready to download and update the game to the Series X version when available.
