Series X graphics and wifi issues, U.K.

Hi,

My series X has been playing up for the last couple of months with the screen going black for a short while then coming back on. It went away for a little while so i thought it may have been a software issue, then the other day the graphics corrupted like a dying graphics card and the screen went black again. Once i do a full power cycle it works again for a short time then does it again. Also, when the recent corruption happened, my wifi now doesn't pick up any networks unless i do a full shutdown either.

The thing that concerns me is my warranty run out 3 weeks ago, but because i thought it was just a software issue before, i left it. Is there any chance i can have my xbox repaired under warranty in the U.K. as it has been an ongoing issue and i don't expect a piece of hardware to go haywire in less than a year, though i know it happens.

I have tried getting a call back from support but the virtual agent just keeps saying something went wrong on 3 different browsers.

May we ask for the screenshot of what you are seeing when your issue happens?

I don't have a screenshot as the console becomes unresponsive, but the screen just freezes then goes black in game. Also, now when choosing a game from quick resume or going to the dashboard from a running game, the screen stays black for several seconds.

May we ask if you connected the screen to an HDMI from Xbox Series X?

Yes, direct from console to TV.

Is your HDMI 4k compliant?

Yes. Using the original cable and the TV is an LG CX.

Is the graphics faded out on all games?

Graphics are fine until it randomly freezes and goes black.

May we ask when did this issue happen and did you install an app or update before the issue occur?

Around the end of November it started acting a little odd, screen going black for a few seconds bit didn't think much of it as it was rare. Only game I've been playing since around then is Halo.

Did you already got a case number while contacting support?

No, tried getting a call back but the virtual assistant kept saying an error occurred on 3 different browsers.

The console has also now been acting strange in other ways. When turning on from instant on, it doesn't remember the WiFi or pick up any other WiFi signals until rebooted. Also, last night I turned it off but the power light kept flashing until I turned it off at the wall. When I turned it back on at the wall the power light just kept flashing again and it only turned on once I flicked the mains switch on and off.

Even when it does boot, the dash is empty, my games library is also empty and it takes a while to load everything.

So even though my warranty is just out of date, I believe the issues have been there from before and they have just gotten gradually worse.

Even a factory reset hasn't helped, infact it has gotten worse.

We would like to ask if you have tried to connect the devices to a different HDMI cable?

How about connecting to a different TV, will the freeze stops?

Will the freeze or black screen happens if you are in the dashboard? or it happens only while you are in the game?

Suggested troubleshooting:

Perform an offline update. You will need a Windows-based PC with an Internet connection and a USB port and USB flash drive with a minimum 6 GB of space formatted as NTFS. Guide is in here: Perform an offline system update | Xbox Support.
