Series X goes into 640p mode everynow and then requiring a hard reset to fix.

The Series X does not have a standby mode like the PS4/5. It only has a shut down option. I have tried a hard reset on the console, and I tried to reset my console. Nothing works.

And to be clear, the scaler in Xenos is not part of the 3D pipeline, it's part of the display pipeline. If your assumption about a fixed 640p target was correct, he'd be seeing drops in both 480p and higher resolution modes since the scaler's active all
the time, what with 640p not being any sort of "standard" resolution that could just be passed on to HANA for output.



If, instead of inadequate, you want to say there's a fault in the scaler, that's possible, though again that should be manifesting in both 480p and 720p/1080p modes.

Having this issue, the disc works in 2 of my 3 series x consoles

Delete everything about the game from your hard drive, then redownload from download history.

that should fix it. Sometimes when downloading a game a file will everynow and again a small curruption in the data files. and even if you just redownload it, it can miss that stop thinking its non currupt.

I also have this issue with an elite series 1 controller. When it happens though the original series x controller will not pair either until a hard reset.
