Series X Firmware 3038 error

Hi,

I recently have an issue with my Xbox Series X.

When I start it, I receive a message about a new mandatory update; but after few minutes, the update fails during the Verify process.

What is strange is that the OS of destination have the final digits "3038", but this isn't the code of the latest firmware (2989, that is the OS of my console).

So, if I want to do an Offline Update, I think it won't resolve the problem.

I tried also to power off the console and uplugg it for a day, but it hasn't work.

Searching in Internet, it seems this is a new Beta Update launched on 10th December, but I'm not in the Beta Program, so I don't know why my Xbox ask me to download it.

There is someone with the same problem?

I believe an offline will work to address this issue. You can download the OSU file and proceed to update the console

It may be possible that most people have switched over to play on the Xbox One. However, you'll have more luck finding people who play if you post in the Happy Wars forums.

I just updated the firmware prior to posting. It is on the latest version. It did not fix the issue. I am on Xbox series x

Hey, went through the process on the series x and when I made it to check firmware I received a 'something went wrong. Your controller is already up to date' message instead of allowing me to revert firmware.
