    Series X Expansion Card


    I noticed the Seagate expansion card on Series X has 2 formatting options. One says choose this if the card will remain plugged into that console. Other says choose this if you plan to use card on multiple consoles. I know my console won't last forever, and sometimes things happen and a console can suddenly just dieon you. If this happens I wanna be able to plug my storage expansion card into a new Series X console, so I chose ''will be used on multiple consoles'' option. Afraid if I chose the other option, the card would not work on a new and ''different'' model Series X.

    Q: Does it matter? Will either option still allow me to use it on a new console?

    Second, what EXACTLY does each option actually do to the card?

    Does copying a game use externel box memory or counsel memory

    If you are playing the Series X version, all Series X games must be installed internally or on the expansion card

    Hi,

    Both Series X/S games and Xbox One games that been optimised (I'm British) for Series X/S must be installed on either the internal storage or the expansion card. They can not be run from a USB connected storage device. My optimised Series X/S Xbox One games
    were moved to my Expansion card during their update.

    Are you using a Series S/X?

    Series S/X optimized games can only run from the internal SSD or an expansion card made specifically for the Series S/X.
