    One X 4k issues

Make sure your monitor supports HDMI 2.0 so it can do 4k at 60hz. HDMI 1.4 can only do 4k at 30hz and the xbox one does not support that. For example, my monitor does not support 4k 60hz with HDMI but it does with display port. My max resolution is 1440p
on HDMI. I do have HDMI 2.0 though, but something must not be detecting it properly.

Monitors are trickier than TVs because auto-detect sometimes does not work correctly and the xbox does not know that the monitor can do 4k at 60hz through HDMI. And if you select Manual from Auto Detect on the xbox one settings, you can't select 4k because
4k is only available when you have auto detect enabled, to my knowledge.

Display port is one thing that monitors like yours have, that support 4k at 60hz and more, but the xbox does not officially support display port and you would need a special "active" adapter for that and xbox can't guarantee that that will work.

Monitor for my Xbox one X

    Hello,

Sorry for my language, (google translate).

I'm looking for a monitor for my Xbox one X, ...

My question is, is it worth buying a monitor at more than 60HZ in 4k ???

Does Xbox One x accept more than 60 Hz ???

    Thank you for your answers.
It is worth buying a 4K 144hz monitor for Xbox Series X, However you need to make sure the monitor has HDMI 2.1,

"Does Xbox One X accept more than 60hz ?"

    At 4K , No,

Xbox One X uses HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.0 bandwidth can only do 4K at 60hz,

HDMI 2.1 of the Xbox Series X will allow it to go to 4K at 120hz, but only if you have a TV or monitor with HDMI 2.1, and a refresh rate of 120hz or higher.

4k Not Working on Seiki Pro SM28UTR

The Xbox One S will run at 4K if the monitor does 4K@60Hz. When connected via HDMI, the HDMI port on the monitor must be at least version 2.0.

According to the product sheet, you should be able to get 4K@60Hz if you connect the Xbox to the HDMI 2.0 port on the monitor.

The other two HDMI ports, "HDMI 1.4" and "HDMI 1.4(MHL)" will not support 4K@60Hz, and the Xbox will likely default to 1080p.

White Flickers while watching movies/streaming? 4k UHD 60hz monitor no HDR

I had the same / similar issue with my old 4K 60hz none HDR / HDMI 2.0 monitor when watching movies and some times in games with the Series X,

As soon as i upgraded my monitor to a 4K 144hz monitor that has HDR / HDMI 2.1 ports, i no longer had this problem,

I'm not sure what the problem is, but my guess is that the HDMI 2.1 port on Series X doesn't play well with HDMI 2.0 port of monitors, or it's the Series X trying to force HDR on, even if the monitor does not have / support HDR and the HDR in Series X menu's is turned off.

Specific kind of TV for Xbox Series X/S?

Does the upcoming Xbox Series X/S require a TV with 120hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 support, or will any other TV with 60hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.0 support suffice?
    Hi,

No it does not require a new TV with HMDI 2.1. It will happily run on a standard 60Hz TV or Monitor with HDMI 2.0. Your TV or monitor does not need to be 4K either as it will still run on a standard FHD (Full HD) 1080P display.

Yes both versions of the new console have an HDMI 2.1 port, but HDMI 2.1 is 100% backwards compatible with HDMI 2.0 displays.

It would be a bit silly to launch a console that no one without a new TV monitor could use.
