    Series X crashes to dashboard when press A to start - Wreckless and Need For Speed


    Hello all,

    I am having quite a bizarre problem with these two titles. They will both load the splash screens but when prompted to press A the Xbox will simply flip back to the dashboard. Try and open the game up again and the same process occurs.

    I have two profiles on my Xbox, an existing profile taken from an Xbox One X and a new profile. The problem occurs on my existing profile but both games will happily load on the new profile on the Series X. On my previous Xbox One X the game will also load on my existing profile.

    I have tried to the following:

    Deleting local data

    Deleting local and cloud data

    Delete local and cloud data and using an Xbox One X start a new game to try and create a fresh file.

    Disabled HDR

    Changed Graphic Settings - put the console into 1080P instead of 4K

    Changed Xbox Live Privacy setting from Custom to Adult

    Loading from Internal Drive

    Loading from External Drive

    Deleted and reinstalled the problematic profile

    Hard reset the console

    Factory reset the console

    Both games are digital and I have deleted and redownloaded the games

    So we essentially have two games that will not work with Profile A but will work with Profile B using a Series X. Reverting to Xbox One X Profile A will work as well.

    I am slightly out of ideas on this one. It could be a hardware issue but if it is a hardware issue why would it load on Profile B but not Profile A? I thought corrupted save file but I've deleted both local and cloud and used the Xbox One X to create a new save profile.

    I'm running out of ideas. The crash happens when you are prompted to press A which presumably starts the console looking for cloud data. The games using profile A have never loaded up on this Series X console. I don't have another Series X console to test them on. Deleting all the save data both locally and in the cloud should have fixed any data corruption but the problem remains.

    I would be grateful for any remaining ideas to try!

    Am I missing anything here? It seems to be a problem that eludes a logical solution.

    Did you get a resolution ? I've just received a brand new xbox series x back, date on the back is 4th June 2021. (last xbox series x died)

    Every game I load results in xbox restarting or crash to the dashboard

    So future games like Need for speed 2021 will be available for xbox one but further in the future when it comes out for series x

    Same problem for me. Series X, Alpha Skip Ahead. As soon as an Hulu tries to load an ad, it crashes to the dashboard. I have reported it through the console too.

    On Xbox Series X when some games like Doom Eternal, Crash Bandicoot 4, Psychonauts 2, Tales of Arise and Visage are launched (only Xbox Series X enhanced games and not all of them) any Xbox Series X controller incur in an input issue, with battery and with USB cable without battery: if any key or trigger is pressed rapidly it doesn't work, a sort of input lag. The issue persist in any dashboard menu, then if I turn off and turn on the controller again the problem disappear until I return to the game in background that caused the issue. Any Xbox One X controller works perfectly instead. Both Xbox Series X and Xbox Series X controller are update with the latest update. I noticed that when the issue start the usual buzzing noise of the controller change sound, a lower sound. If I plug any headphone with or without microphone in the Xbox Series X controller the commands are more responsive but the problem remains. I reported more and more times this problem to Microsoft since 3 months but still there isn't an update that resolve this issue with my great disappointment. I think this issue started since about 4 months after a system update, and I think the problem is the same of yours. Can you confirm this?
