Series X controller turns off only seconds after turning on

i found a fix by doing a power cycle by holding both controller power button and Xbox power button down for 10 seconds.

I have an xbox series x. When turning the xbox on with a controller the system will turn on then immediately turn off and start again.

Does this happen if you use the console on/off button?

Is the console OS and the controller firmware up to date?

Normally in such cases, a power reset would have fixed the issue; however, here are some points to check:

• Check that the wall outlet you’re using is working with other devices.
  
• Check that the power cable is firmly connected to the wall outlet and to your console.
  
• Ensure that you're using the power cable that came with your console, and that it's the correct cable for your region.
  

If your console still will not turn on, it needs to be serviced. To request service, sign in to Microsoft account | Devices with your Microsoft account and submit a service order.

That's an odd issue. I would like to suggest turning the console off and plugging in only one controller before turning it on. After a gamertag has been signed in there try plugging in the other controller and logging in the second gamertag.
