Series X controller blinks twice and shuts off

The problem started happening when i connected my controller to my iphone and later that day i was playing on my xbox when my controller died, when i tried a different battery pack it started blinking twice and shutting off.

The controller still works fine with my phone and laptop

ive tried many different batteries

old controllers do connect and work with my xbox

Ive tried plugging my xbox into other outlets

Ive made sure there were no other devices interfering

Xbox is a series x

If there is anything you think might help please lmk, i have a temperary solution but id rather not buy a new controller if i dont have too

Hello Crunchy, recently Microsoft released the March update for consoles and controls, see if after updating the firmware of your control it returns to normality.

So i actually cant update or see if my controller needs an update because its not showing up on the microsoft accessories app on my laptop and i tried to connect it to my old xbox one however its having the same issue of turning off

Is there any other way i could update it without the xbox accessories app?

Hello! Mine just did the same thing yesterday! Were you able to figure out a solution? I tried pairing but it blinks twice and shuts off. Other controllers work fine.

Kindly try performing a powercycle on your console by following the steps below:

"1. Press and hold the Xbox button for 5-10 seconds, until the controller turns off.

2. Wait a few seconds, then press and hold the Xbox button again to turn the controller back on."
