  1. Series X - bad to constantly turn off/on?

So i have a dog who loves (no joke) to press buttons and when i had a xbox one he would constantly turn on/off the console since it was easy for him. I received over a dozen notications in the span of 10 mins of my series x being turned on so would that cause any damage to the console if it was constantly turned on and off in a short period? That dog sure loves the bright white light.

    :)

Hello, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

My name is welcome to the community.

Hello Tamer, on the console there may come a time that it may no longer respond to the on/off command of the button, in addition to the system boot question that is always interrupted, may cause some damage to the button mechanics.

If it is being turned off before the system has finished loading up, then it could cause corruption of system files.

Generally, it's not good to have a computer/console being turned on anf off again over an over. Depending on your living arrangements, could you maybe put the console out of reach of the dog? Failing that, if it is on some shelving, maybe put some sort of door in front of the console and just open the door when using the console?

Xbox Series X shutting down while playing COD Cold War

I’m having the same problem man, although I don’t believe it’s an Xbox Series X issue. I haven’t bought next gen and am still only on the Xbox One X and my game constantly crashes ONLY while playing Cold War. I have no clue how to fix my own issue but
for Series X users I hear that turning off Ray Tracing is an easy temporary fix. I’ve also heard that this issue has been breaking peoples Series X so you might just want to hold off on playing until they release a patch.
