    I've has my Series X for a few months and had few complaints, but a frustration I've tried to resolve is how I cannot use my console as my 'Home' Xbox. Please bear with me for this potentially convoluted explanation.

    I had lost my internet connection at home and realized that although my Series X was set as my Home Xbox, I couldn't play any Gamepass games because it was not recognizing the SX as the home console. I checked my device list on my account and saw XBOX (my series system) and XBOXONE (my previous console - now sold). I deregistered the Xbox One as my Home Xbox, and removed it from my account. It was odd to even find this because I wiped it and deregistered it before selling. Anyway...

    Here's where the frustration comes in:

    Next time my wifi dropped out, my system again tells me to register the Series as my Home Xbox if I want access to my games offline. Settings > General > Personalization > Make this my Home is already selected. I checked my device list and XBOXONE was back AND listed again as my Home Xbox. I removed both it (as my home console + from my devices) and also removed my Series X from my device list. I went back to my console and re-registered it as my Home Xbox. Re-registered it again. Same problem when disconnected - no access because my system isn't being recognized as my Home Xbox.

    I return again to my device list and find my Series X has not returned to my device list, but XBOXONE is back! (and registered as my Home Xbox!) I'm convinced my Series X is being mistaken for another system, but even then it doesn't actually get designated as my Home Xbox and therefore isn't working as meant. I can't access subscription games (Gamepass or GWG) without an internet connection no matter what I do and it's incredibly disappointing.

    I'm also worried about repeating my troubleshooting because I'm down a few tries on my annual 5-switch limit from this back and forth already.

    Sorry for the wall of text, but it's been a bit of a journey and I wanted to include the steps I've already taken. If anyone has any input or similar experience, I'd be immensely grateful. Thanks!

    Are you offline? Is the Series X your home Xbox?
    No my Xbox series x is online and on the same network as my Xbox one and my Xbox series x is set as my home Xbox

    honestly, i will probably never play the original xbox one console where everything was purchased and all games sit.

    It’s crashing for me also. Booting back to the Home Screen. I have the physical disc downloaded to the Xbox One X system so it’s not a specific issue to the Series X. This will most likely have to be patched at Microsoft. The base game works only when downloaded to the system offline. The forced update while online causes it not to boot up.

    Yes, the Series X has a Blu-Ray drive. Your Xbox One disc games will work on this system.

    The series consoles are a completely separate from.xbox one

    You just Confuse people by saying it

    Ita xbox series s /x thats it

    When talking about system requirements

    Xbox one games work with xbox one games there is no requires xbox one s or x

    It's just xbox one

    Now with series games physical games are only compatible with series x

    This does not include xbox one x or s

    Digital games are compatible with series s or x but must be stored on nvme storage card or internal drive
