Series **** signal randomly shuts off when set to output 120hz.

When I set my Series X to output 120hz, to my new LG CX tv, then out of nowhere I only lose video signal; tv goes blank. I still hear everything, I can still hear my games playing and can hear me control things and go to home screen, just the Video signal
isn't working. Only fix I have come up with so far is it will correct itself in 10 seconds, or you have to unplug the tv and plug it back in from the wall (power), OR hard reset the Xbox. just unplugging the HDMI cable and plugging back in on tv or Xbox doesn't
fix it(which makes me think it may not be the cable?) but as soon as I change to 60Hz mode on the Xbox options, then I do not have the issue at all and haven't since I switched to 60Hz. I also have tried 120Hz output with all different video options checked
and unchecked, and it never went away, just setting to 120hz causes issue. Also funny is my friend i play with has the Series X and has an LG C9, and he is having I believe the same issue. his video just goes blank as well.

So is anyone else having this issue? i saw people saying they have flickering issues with 120Hz, but mine never flickers, it just shuts the video off and that is usually it until a reset.

    :)

Xbox one x 120hz not working.

    1. Navigate to the Settings app on your Xbox One.
    2. Choose the Display & sound tab
    3. Select the Video output tile.
    4. Open the Refresh rate drop-down menu.
    5. Choose 120Hz to increase your refresh rate. (Your console should now output a 120Hz signal.)
That's the steps in the link. It doesnt give me the option for 120hz

    Digital code XBOXONE/XBOXS

While the Series S is capable of 120hz output, almost no games on it support it. This is the budget system. It's not made for power.

If you wish this feature you're better off purchasing Series X

    Xbox One S 1080p 120Hz Viera TC L42D2

The 120hz is a "motion blur" feature of the TV, not an input refresh rate allowance. Your TV will only accept up to a 1080p 60hz signal, as shown in the TV's manual on page 48. You will need to set your output back to 60hz for the TV to accept the signal.

    xbox series s isn’t displaying 120hz at 1440p or 1080p

Hello, I'm Felipe and I'm an independent Community Expert, and I'll do my best to help you.

There are a few reasons why your Xbox Series S might not be displaying a 120Hz refresh rate, even though it's enabled in the settings. Here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:

Check the HDMI cable: Make sure the HDMI cable you are using to connect your Xbox Series S to the monitor is compatible with the 1440p resolution and supports a 120Hz refresh rate.

Update the firmware of your monitor: Check to see if there is a firmware update available for your monitor. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.

Check the video output settings on your Xbox Series S: Go to "Settings" > "Display and sound" > "Video output" and make sure the output resolution is set to 1440p and the refresh rate is set to 120Hz.

Make sure the game supports 120Hz: Some games may not support a refresh rate higher than 60Hz. Check the game's specifications to see if it supports a 120Hz refresh rate.

Restart your Xbox Series S: Sometimes simply restarting the console can resolve display issues.

If none of these steps help, you may need to contact the manufacturer of your monitor for further assistance.

Xbox Series X 4K not working on Samsung Frame TV with AVR

I see, so the AVR must be connected to HDMI 3. Unfortunately, this means that the receiver or Xbox can't take advantage of HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, so 4K 120Hz will not be available (120Hz is supported on 55"+ models of the Frame TV)

Is Input Signal Plus enabled in your TV settings?

Navigate to Settings on your TV.
Select General and then select External Device Manager.
    Select the Input Signal Plus.
Select the HDMI port that your AVR will be connected to (HDMI 3)

    Thanks,
    Kyle
