Series S wont recognize installed games

I’m afraid to say, that as you already tried all the possible solutions as you described, it is necessary now to manually reinstall them on your Series S.

Well first xbox series s wont install disk games. It will only play digital bought games not disk games you need a non digital console like xbox one )not digital editions ) or series x

Second you need patches for upgraded games especially for the compression chip and you would get the appropriate files for the series s via smart delivrry if compatible

Would I know, how do you know if these games are currently installed on your external drive?

Are you able to see them listed as installed in your games & apps, or when you connect your drive to another console the games appear?

If the games appear on your installed games, what’s the message you see when trying to open them?

I installed them on my old xbox one and transferred them to the external hard drive so I know they are on the hard drive

All my installed games appear correctly as installed on my Xbox one if I connect the hard drive to it. But when I connect the hard drive to my Series S, most of the installed games appear but about 9 of them do not. The missing games appear as ready to install on my Series S

great, it recognizes games , installs them. but wont boot them. i also cant check the persistent storage
