Series S turns on when I plug something into USB drive

does not occur on my xbox, tried to turn on power saving?

it's not even a defect either.

Try to turn off the console and remove the power cord; wait for 1 to 2 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the console!

Check if the issue is corrected!

If the issue persists, try to soft reset the console by keeping games and apps!

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
   
2. Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
   
3. Select Reset console.
   
4. On the Reset your console? screen, select Reset and keep my games & apps.
   

Norte that you should be aware of your email and password before going through the reset!

One other question I thought of later. Is it possible to download & just store X/S games to a USB 3.0 drive, but then when ready, transfer them to the Series S internal drive for playing.

Yes, you can move Series X|S games to a USB drive for storage and then move them back to play.

Ok, i found some sort of sollution (Xbox One S):

Turn off your Xbox One by holding down the power button for 10sec.

When turned off, unplug youre USB drive.

Restart the Xbox One and login with youre account

Re-plug the USB drive. Now a pop-ub appears for the Xbox Media App

Go to the media app and you should/might see the USB drive now.
