    Series s not supported on tv because of refresh rate

    So my series s is set to 120 hz and i dont know how to change it back to the original 60 hz because i got rid of my 120 hz tv and got a smaller one that runs 60 hz so the screen on the tv says invalid format and i need to know how to change it without turning it on.

    On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console.

    Press and hold the Xbox button and the bind button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until the second beep occurs.

    In either case, this will boot your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, press the Xbox button to open the guide. Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options, and then select the resolution that you want from the options under Display.

    Screen turns black after turning on 120hz ( Xbox Series S

    I'm sorry to hear that. Kindly try these;

    1. Make sure that your TV or monitor supports 120hz. Not all displays support this refresh rate, so it's important to check first.

    2. Make sure that you are using a high-speed HDMI cable that supports 120hz. A standard HDMI cable may not be able to handle the increased bandwidth required for this refresh rate.

    3. Check your Xbox Series S settings. Make sure that your console is set to output at 120hz. You can do this by going to Settings > General > TV & display options > Video modes.

    4. Try restarting your Xbox Series S and your display. Sometimes, a simple restart can fix issues like this.

    5. If none of the above steps work, there may be an issue with your Xbox Series S or your display.

    Black screen after manual override of 120HZ

    Hi LIAMSHARMAN! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

    If you have an Xbox Series S console, or if your TV doesn’t support HDMI 2.1, you can still enable 120 Hz gaming at a lower resolution. To do this, set your Refresh rate on the TV & display options screen to 120 Hz. If your resolution was previously set to 4K, the console will automatically adjust the resolution to support the 120 Hz refresh rate. Otherwise, select a resolution from the available options.

    If you own an Xbox Series S and wish to game in 4K@120Hz, you’ll need to acquire a certified Ultra High Speed HDMI cable.

    Does Msfs 2020 work properly on the Xbox Series X

    Hi, George. My name is Ron, I'm an independent advisor. I will be more than happy to help you.

    For me, it depends on the TV you will be using. If you have a 4k TV with good features like Dolby Vision, Variable refresh rate, and 120 refresh rate. It would be best to get the Xbox Series X console. It really has a major difference if you are using a TV or monitor that has those features. The Xbox Series X also has a much higher processor. It has 12 Teraflops over the 4 Teraflops of the Xbox Series S.
