Series S need wifi to perform fast?apps taking forever to open

Is your console syncing your saved data every time you launch a game? are you getting any error codes/messages when doing so?

While online, I'd suggest checking for OS updates at Settings > System > Updates, and for pending updates game updates.

If possible, I'd also suggest doing a soft factory reset to refresh your system. This can be done by going to Settings > System > Console info > Reset console > Keep games and apps.

Just keep in mind you will need an internet connection and your account details (email and password) to complete this process. You will also need an Internet connection to re-sync your data.

*** Resetting your console to its factory defaults erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost. If your console has been constantly connected to the internet and Xbox Live services, your saved data should be backed up on the cloud.

I know most of these troubleshooting steps require an internet connection to work, it's just that there isn't much we can do under these circumstances. I'm sorry, Kareem.

The UI in general is relatively normal

-Only when opening games and apps take longer than expected

-I definitely don't remember setting my Xbox as my "Home Xbox",I've never heard of this setting before

-And no external storage units have been added

I connected my console to a wifi hotspot,the console is also already set to my home Xbox.Difference is that the apps started significantly faster whilst having my console using a internet connection.I think it might be a problem with syncing data?I tested this once I turned my hotspot off the apps went back to a slower startup.regards

- Is this happening with one app in specific?

- Before going offline, did you designate your console as "Home Xbox"?

- Is your console slow only when opening games/apps, or is it slow in general?

- Did you recently add any external storage units to your setup?

Thank you for the information.

It seems you can launch games despite them taking a long time to load, which is not possible if your console is not set as "Home Xbox". Still, I'd suggest double-checking if it's designated as such by going to Settings > General > Personalization > My Home Xbox.

Additionally, would you mind giving this a try? a power cycle usually takes care of most minor issues a console could present.

"Power cycle"

- Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds, until it shuts down.

- Unplug the power cord from your console for 3 minutes.

- Plug everything back together and turn your console on.

Please let me know if this works.
