    Series S Flickers and Shuts Down


    I just opened a new Xbox Series S, updated it, and now, within 10-30 seconds of booting up, the screen will start to flicker and then it shuts itself off. It seems like if I don't let it idle it will stay on but as soon as it idles for a few seconds it shuts
    down...even if it's doing something, like updating the controller. It was shutting itself off even before I signed into my account, it literally started right after the initial updates.

    I've used an existing HDMI cable and the cable that came in the box. I've tried multiple wall outlets. I've tried a new LG 4K TV (with HDR on and off) along with older Samsung, Insignia, Vizio, all three of these are 1080P. I checked every TV to verify it
    has the latest firmware.

    It feels like I have a defective unit but I'm hoping there's some things I can try before looking at my options there. Especially considering how hard it was to get, the idea of going back to the end of the line and trying to be in the right place at the
    right time to purchase another one isn't exactly exciting.

    Maybe Xbox Live is shutting down on the 360 to make way for the series x/series as s?

    Held the Xbox power button for 10 seconds to shut it down, after I unplugged the power cord for 20 seconds, plugged it in and started up, everything works good now, no flickering.....yah!
