    Series S flickering, crashes and shutdown!


    Hey

    Just bought a brand new Series S and having nothing but issues.

    GTA V - Will play perfectly until it starts to pixelate then freeze then the console shuts down or maybe gos to menu screen!

    Halo infinite - this flickers even on the load up screen and halo menus. When loaded the black pixelates then freezes. While writing this it was only on the menu screen and it crashed!

    Jurassic World - bit glitchy but ok. Go through the menu and then the sound glitches , picture freezes and back the Xbox menu screen.

    There is also problems with the menu screen sometimes not being able to see the words when moving up and down (once the X logo is pressed on the controller)

    I’ve tried resetting. I have fibre and now connected it by Ethernet. both Ethernet and HDMI are hi speed.

    I’ve tried clearing the mac address.

    Is this a common problem?

    I’m now trying to send it back but do I

    do it through the retailer or through Microsoft?



    and do I have to accept repairs or replacements?

    If you have only had the console for a few days, then taking it back to the retailer is the best option, then you can get a replacement or money back. If longer than that, then sending back to Microsoft is your best option.

    Thanks for the reply and yes that would be the easy option however…. I think that Argos, the retailer, will insist on going through Microsoft as it’s faulty. We will see today. I just wanted to be for-armed with any info that was about. I’ve since found another thread that indicated this problem is not that uncommon.

    That's what I am done,put my series s on energy saving and then select full shutdown after that I hear noises on the left side of series s and it won't stop noising unless I unplug it
