Series S controller only works with party chat and no game/system audio can be heard.

Basically, I’m having an issue where when headphones are connected to my Controller, I can’t hear game/system audio but I have no problem talking to my friends. I don’t know what to try as I tried EVERYTHING. What can I do apart from asking Microsoft for a replacement? (I have no beta software installed on my console/controller)

Game sound not playing through one controller, voice chat works

Anyone have an ideas? Headset has audio for party voices, but all in game audio and menu clicks do not work whne the headset is plugged into red controller. Sound works normally with the headset when plugged into black. What would be wrong with the red headset? The hardware seems to clearly work as the party voice chat works.... Very weird that only in game audio does not work. Is there a way to unpair the headset or some other type of reset anyone has heard of?

Audio messages(I can't hear them when run games)

When i talk audio message i mean AUDIO MESSAGE NOT PARTY CHAT.

    Party chat is not message.

And when i power on my console series x and previews xbox consoles(For example xbox one s) when i am at menu the audio messages work fine i can hear them normally but when i run any game(EXCEPT FOTZA HORIZON 5) any audio message send or receive i CAN'T listen it.

XBOX One Chat Adapter & Turtle Beach Issue

Here's my weirdness chronologically with the Turtle Beach X41:

XB1 plugged into the X41 base using optical, and X41 headset plugged into the controller via the adapter. Adapter/controller is updated and audio set to 5.1/DTS.

Issue # 1: I got no sound from my X41 base. The volume controls on my X41 base and headset did nothing. The resolution is noted below.

Issue # 2: When I joined a party, I only heard chat audio from the controller to the X41 headset - there was no game/menu audio and issue # 1 continued. The volume control on the wire between headset and controller worked though, which makes sense since
only chat audio was coming from the controller and nothing from the X41 base. Additionally the game chat balance (left buttons on adapter) worked OPPOSITE to what they should!! Pressing the controller increased the chat audio and lowered the game audio!!
When I went into Titanfall, the chat balance buttons flipped and started working correctly - Pressing the controller increased the game audio and lowered the chat audio. Bizarre!!

Resolution: I was able to solve the no audio issue by changing my audio output to Stereo on the XB1. I now get game audio and chat through the X41 headset, and can control the audio with all volume controls on my X41.

It is a horrible kluge. The sound is terrible and doesn't work correctly as it did on the 360. Now if I want to watch a Blu-ray in DTS, I have to change the audio settings, so there's this back-and-forth all the time. I probably won't spend a lot on headsets
again, I can tell you that much!!

xbox one fat e no One S não faz streaming de audio dos times nos jogos com headset e kinect [Mod translation-xbox one fat and One S does not stream audio from teams in games with headset and kinect]

    Hi rafaelRfaria

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to answer that as best as I can.

By no means am I a sound engineer or audio specialist when it comes down to the specifics, but I believe what you are experiencing is by design based on the recording and streaming limitations of the console compared to other streaming and recording hardware
you can find for a Window 10 PC. If I understand your post correctly, you state that you can hear audio of yourself and others in an Xbox Live party when streaming but not other random players who are in-game chats when playing a game. I believe this is because
the audio channels for in-game chat systems will go through and only be heard through your headset when plugged into a controller. The party chat settings you find on the Xbox One are only for the Xbox Live party chats and do not affect the in-game chat systems.
So even though you have it set to go out through your headset and speakers, the in-game chat will only go through your headset, unlike the game audio and Xbox Live party chat which would be processed by the console and heard when streaming directly from the
    console.

There isn't really a solution to this issue that I can think of because you need to plug in your headset into a controller for it to work and there isn't a way for you to use normal headphones and an external USB mic because that is not supported on the
Xbox One console. I'm not able to actually try broadcasting myself but any other input from others who have given it a try would be great.

How do I make fame and system audio only go trough my TV, and how to make party chat only on my headset?

    Thank you for the reply.

To make the fame and system audio only go through your TV, and the party chat only on your headset, follow these steps:

    1. Press the Xbox button on your controller and navigate to the Profile & system tab.

    2. Select Settings, then General, and then Volume & audio output.

    3. Under Headset audio, select Stereo uncompressed.

    4. Under Party chat output, select Headset.

    5. Under Speaker audio, turn off HDMI audio.

    I hope this helps!
    Adam.
