Series 2 Pro Controller won't connect

So yesterday on February 6, 2022 I was playing some Xbox just fine. (Xbox Series X - Series 2 Pro Controller) I took a break for a few hours and had my controller sitting on the charging dock as always. When I returned to play again my controller would not connect to my Xbox. I tried many times and even reset my Xbox multiple times. (Unplug for 30 sec) I then tried to connect the controller to my wife's Xbox. (Xbox One X) Again, I had no luck. So I then tried using my wife's controller (also a series 2 pro controller) on my console. This worked just fine. So I can now conclude that my controller is indeed the problem. The last step I tried was to hard wire the controller to my Xbox. Yet again, nothing. I am at a loss here and feel the only step now is to send it in. This is really irritating as I have already sent it in before (after warranty expired conveniently) and spent $100 for the repair. If I have to do this again that means that this is now a $400 controller that still has issues. My controller is basically equivalent to my console in cost and still has issues. Is there ANY way I can fix this without giving Microsoft even more money.

I try to connect my Xbox Elite wireless controller series 2 via bluetooth on my Ipad Pro 11 inch 2018, but it can't make connection or won't be recognized. The series 2 controller supports bluetooth. I can make connection with the other older version Xbox
One S wireless controller immediately.

I'd make a phone call with Apple support and they said that maybe the problem could be that the Xbox Elite controller series 2 won't be supported and isn't compatible with Ipad.

I want to know guys if you had the same problem and I want to ask if there will be an update in the future to solve this problem?

At the moment the series 2 elite controller is not compatible with Iphones/Ipads. At the moment the only device that the series 2 controller is available on IOS side is the Mac and even that it's janky. Series 2 controller works fine on Android at the moment.
Sorry if this doesn't help you, I myself is waiting for the Bluetooth proprietary to be added to the IOS list

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums.

We won't be able to provide proof that the grips won't peel off as that would be impossible since everyone grips their controller differently, but all we can say is that the series 2 Elite controller was improved with every previous feature in mind and that
includes the rubberized grips, as they now wrap around all the way to the top of the controller.

There won't be any discounts for owning the original Elite controller.

I use Razer Tartarus PRO with analog input. The system see that xbox 360 controller connected.

SOLUTION

It needs to disable xbox 360 for windows in device manager and then after few minutes xbox series controller starts working as it must to be. If you enable x360 again, series controller continue working until you reboot your system.
