Serial number of a xbox one controller

Hello, I bought a xbox one controller on Amazon the February 7 2018 and after playing a video game early may, the right joystick broke itself abnormally. So I look at the instruction and I saw that there was a guarantee of 90 days.I go in the microsoft and
it demand the serial number but the site don't recognize it.I need some help to apply my guarantee. Thanks

Bought a second controller - does it need to be registered for warranty?

So there is no 12 digit serial number like on the Xbox One and Kinect? Maybe you're right though as it doesn't say how to find the number for a controller at the following link, so maybe it's not able to be registered:

Registering a controller to get service order

I just bought an Xbox One controller with a faulty left trigger.

I'm trying to lodge a service order and I'm being asked for the controller serial number.

It seems the serial number of the box is 14 digits, but the online form only allows 12. Am I missing something?

Do you happen to notice any issues registering this controller when you try using a different web browser?
