No other way to say it. Watching the us open was like watching a slo mo replay of the event. It's awful. I haven't changed any tv settings since the update so I know it's not my equipment. I see it on 720p content mostly. This is possibly the worst live
tv bug for me as I watch a ton of sports and now they are all unwatchable slow motion juddery messes.

    :)

September update ruins sports smoothness. Judder and slow motion appearance

I have juddering on sky news HD news ticker/breaking news at bottom.

Just got my Xbox one yesterday and realised I needed to plug in my sky hd box due to not enough TV hdmi but it's juddering. I'm have the latest Xbox one update.

Glad to at least hear everyone saying the 50hz setting "was" working.

Will this be fixed again Microsoft?

    When will it be fixed?

  5. I have the exact same problem with Sky HD box through XBO. Completely ruined watching live sport. If no fix or even acknowledgement of this problem by MS then I will have to plug Sky directly into TV.

I am SO glad it isn't just me! September update has borked the 50hz refresh patch. Most noticeable on Sky Sports News, where the news ticker is clearly juddery and unclear.

I guess the only course of action is make sure we all report this to Xbox directly as a problem rather than hoping they monitor this forum, but hope they recognise the error and patch soon.

Same problem here. Sky box into Xbox One and football and even non sporting events judder. End credits on programs show the judder to be present

  9. Hey everyone!

Sorry to hear about the TV quality issues . We have notified the right folks about this issue and we're looking into this further. I recommend first trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if the issue continues.

Please give the following steps a try:

    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
    • Wait 3 minutes and then plug in your console.
    • Check your HDMI cables to make sure they're securely connected to your devices and free from damage.
    • Try using a different high-speed HDMI cable. Some cables are higher-quality than others, and low-quality cable can impact your video signal.
    • Try power cycling your set-top box to clear out incorrect data configuration data. To do this, disconnect any cables (including power cables) from the device for 1 minute. Then, plug the cables back in.
    • Try setting your set top box to a video output of 720p.
    • Disable multichannel surround sound (such as Dolby Digital or 5.1).
I have sent all of you a private message in order for us to collect additional information. Please check your private messages when you have a chance. To check your private messages click here and scroll down to your conversation
    list.

    Thank you for your patience!

Posted this in a different thread, but might be more appropriate her as well:

Did you guys figure this out? I've had my one since launch day, but only started to try running my directv through it a few weeks ago. Very cool, but definitely has some quirks. I have a similar setup as the op, though not exact. hr22 receiver. I'm
not experiencing this issue yet, but have noticed some odd judder now and then which led me to do some fiddling.

I assume the xbox one has to convert whatever signal it receives to output 1080p, whether that is 480i/p, 720p, or 1080i. Normally I like to have "native on" and let my Denon avr do the converting, but since the directv is no longer going through that,
the xbox is doing all the work. I don't know if it's the xbox or dtv, but it seems that sometimes a 720p channel is sending 1080i when I switch back and forth between channels that use those two broadcasts. Like I said, I don't know if it's the dtv or xbox
that seems to get locked into one mode, but all of a sudden, a channel that was previously smooth, now has a bit of judder. This is most noticeable on things like sports tickers.

I decided to try sending only 1080p to the xbox one by turning native to off and deselecting all of the resolutions on the dirctv receiver except 1080p. All of the converting is now being done on the dtv reciever and the xbox one only gets a 1080p signal.
I don't know if this is the best PQ, but it does seem to fix the judder issue for me. In fact, even channels like nfl network which had terrible judder on the ticker now appear to be smooth.

Will this help the op's problem? I really don't know, but I'd recommend trying to send only the resolution the xbox is going to output, most likely 1080p(could be 720p, depending on setup), and prevent it from having to do anything with the signal. If I
read correctly, sounds like you are selecting 720p and 1080p(other thread). I'd pick just 1080p and native off. If that doesn't work, perhaps everything, 480i/p included.

Hey there folks! Thank you so much for posting about this! If you haven't already, check out the latest system update! For information on how to do that, check out our About
    System Updates on Xbox One
    support article.

As you can see on the Operating System Version support article the latest update improved Live TV stability, and should resolve the jittery TV issues you may
have been seeing. Everything should be good to go now, but we'd like to hear back from you! After you download the update, let us know what you see! We're stoked to hear how things are looking on your end. =)

  12. I came home today and turned on the NFL game and it was really bad. I have had the Xbox since day one and never had this issue. tried everything, and finally bipased the Xbox and plugged my DirectTv into the TV...It works fine now.

It's unfortunate that this happened on day one of the NFL, and Day one of being able to use the NFL App while watching the games....

Anything I can do to fix this???

I have updated to the latest September patch and can confirm that the issue is STILL present, just significantly lessened. An easy repro is to just watch US Open tennis, you can still see stuttering and slow motion judder every 30 seconds or so and it's
    super annoying.

1080i deinterlacing is STRAIGHT broken in September update. This affects all apps, not just TV. Please resolve this ASAP Microsoft. You can't be INPUT ONE, if you can't even deinterlace 1080i video properly.
