September Update .... problems?

There was a three phase update late last week that has wreaked havoc on my gaming. Lately I've been playing a lot of Star Trek Online and since the update, I have constantly been kicked out of game and/or been unable to scroll down my character list without
having the screen freeze and then boot me right back to the home screen at the exact same point time and again; effectively rendering me unable to choose and select several of my STO characters.

I have cleared local Xbox One and Xbox 360 caches and also deleted then reinstalled Star Trek Online in order to get past this, but what gives with that recent update? Why did this happen? Will it continue to plague me?

RIVE September 2015 Update!

 

Xbox One wont respond to right controller stick movement (confirmed control is working correctly on PC with joy.cpl)

It's also possible this could be related to the season 13:5 update Star Trek Online had last week as that has caused a few issues which should be patched tomorrow.

Not had any problem launching & playing the game myself.
