Seperate subscription required for eso on Xbox. PC sub will not work for xbox too.

Would like to know what other xbox gamers think of this.

Personally I think it is a terrible move by Bethesda/Zenimax and am confident this has nothing to do with Microsoft or Live as they only care if people are gold. Personally I think the xbox and ps4 servers should simply be treated like regions in regards
to a subscription. Ie) North America, European, Oceanic, Xbox, PS4. An eso subscription should cover all as long as you have the platform and client/disk.

Do other people here:

A) Agree.

B) Disagree.

C) Think I am way off base.

So exactly what will be the point to having an xbox one if all major exclusives are on pc?..

Didn't they already say that a Xbox Live sub was not required for PC?

i would like to play it but not willing to pay 15 bucks a month on top of xbl sub plus eso strong point the pvp if i wanted to id stop playing on xbox then go pc to play eso but i like consoles better

Thought I had. The short of it is if you want to play ESO on both PC and XBox even if you play different characters they want to charge $15/month for each on top of buying the game for each. Traditionally a person should only need one subscription to
play multiple servers because realistically you can only be on one at a time

 

You probably did explain it well but my brain works weird so sometime I need more info. I think I got what your saying now but being on the fence of getting ESO I am not sure where I stand. Trying to figure out if I agree or disagree but I see your point
as a consumer but I can understand there point from a business perspective.

Out of curiousity, why do you care about this as much as you say you do? I would think the vast majority of us don't buy games on multiple platforms anyways. I know there are some here that do, but it tends to be only with the games they REALLY enjoy/love.

 

If it makes you feel better the games just riding off the Skyrim hype train. The combat is clunky and everything just takes place in small instanced areas. TESO is the definition of generic. The only thing that even relates the game to the series is the
lore / races and one of which is locked behind the collectors edition anyways.

 

Whether you agree with or like the gameplay, you should still be against this kind of payment model as it sets a terrible precedent in online play.

Imagine other games that was to launch after and get the same idea. What happens when one of us gamers gets stuck on a game server they do not enjoy do we start charging em additional supscribtions just to play the same game on another server?

We should not be complacent with this and should tell ZMO what we think, for some of us that means getting in thier face and saying 'no' for others they can speak with thier wallet.

I'm against the game entirely because its a subscription fee on consoles but needing multiple subs for different places to play the game is way too much.

 

I don't like MMO's and I;m not a big fan of Elder Scrolls so meh. Cheers to those who will enjoy it though.

That is the point. Imagine if you had to sub to each wow server or if ffivx charged 15 for pc and another 15 for ps3 play. That would be the equivalent of what ESO is doing. I am not against a sub I am against 2 subs for the same game on different platforms.
