i already realized that. thank you very much. just one last question. does disabling freesync have an impact on performance? i'm more worried on having the best possible refresh rate as i mainly play FPS games than a good quality image. thanks

i have "override" the display in the options, disable autodetect, and manually configure it as 1080p/120Hz and now my monitor Sentey DOES recognize the entry display as 120fps instead of 60. thanks

even though his screen is 165hz, does not mean it will work with Xbox series, the edid needs to have an entry that is dead on 120hz as an option to change too.

PC's can display on monitors with varying refresh rates as most monitors do not get precise refresh, they are usually like 143.889hz as an example of a 144hz monitor, the Xbox requires the edid to have an option for exact refresh of 120hz and anything under or above will not usually be available on the Xbox.

some 165hz monitors don't even have 120hz available in edid.

    Hello there!

Regarding your question, it actually depends on the monitor itself. Please try checking if the monitor is compatible with the Xbox.
