A month ago I sent in my console for warranty service

I received it yesterday with a letter that said no problems were found and no repairs were made. Tonight I hooked the console back up and immediately the fan noise was there. Its a loud clicking sound that can be heard from across the room.

I went online to create another service ticket and I no longer have the option of creating one. I am just told to go to the contact page, which has no contact information other than this forum and a chat system. No where on the xbox website can I find a
phone number to call.

This level of service is ridiculous. Being with out the console for a month only to get it back with no repairs made despite having an obvious issue and now not having the option of creating another service ticket is insulting.

Any one else have this issue? Anyone have a phone number I can call to try to get this taken care of?

Xbox one - Fan still loud after sending it to Microsoft

I sent my Xbox one to Microsoft a while ago because of a loud fan noise and when I got it back, the fan seemed to be louder! When the Xbox is off, the fan is still running and makes a lot of noise, and then when it is on, the fan gets even louder and sounds
like buzzing. Even when I shut my console down, the Xbox fan seems to never shut off and can be heard across my room nonstop.

Need Help Trinity Vs. Corona

Do corona and trinity have the same fan noise level? Is it possible to somehow lower the fan noise without sending the console for a repair? Thanks.

Had a replacement console shipped to me. The replacement has the same problem.

So I am still dealing with this situation

Got my second advanced exchange console and this one has scratches and a dented in corner out of the box

Plugged it in, same loud clicking noise

Coming up on 2 and a half months that I've been dealing with this. At this rate my warranty will expire before I get a good working console

I have the same problem. It's gotten much worse over the last year. It's NOT clicking. No performance issues.

Since you say you blow dust out of it frequently: Are you using compressed air to blow the dust out? Do you make the fan spin by blowing compressed air into the console?

If you spin the fan by blowing compressed air on the fan, you might have damaged the bearing in which the fan is running in, and the bearing is now worn out, which can cause the excess noise.

So if you do not experience the clicking noise, but more of a constant buzzing or humming sound from a worn out fan bearing, you need to send in the console for repairs.

The console has built in temperature sensors, that regulate the fan, so the console doesn't get too hot. Should the fan fail or the console get too hot, the console will automatically shut off to prevent damage. So as long as the console is not showing an
error message about overheating, it's running fine.

However, if the console is still in warranty, you should get the fan serviced while still in warranty, if the noise is louder than normal from a worn out bearing.
