    Sorry, but support is incorrect. If you're being harrassed, you need to file complaints and block communications with those people. There is no way to receive a free name change.

    I'm not a member of support and support won't have information about your gamertag change. The enforcement team are the only ones who would have information about that which is why you'd need to go to the enforcement site I gave you to see why your tag was
    changed.

    Support advised me to ask here, because they're out of ideas, save for just cutting my losses and starting a new account.

    The support representative I spoke with seemed to think that an Xbox support member could possibly manually get the change password email sent to my current email. Or just tell me what's wrong with my Gamertag.

    Eeey I have changed my gamertag, and it worked!!!

    Don't wait, make the change because they cannot give you a free change, a member of Microsoft support told me.
