Sent a controller for repair/replacement and received another faulty one

Hello,

So a couple weeks back I sent a controller back for repair/replacement as it had developed stick drift and was within warranty. A few days ago I receive my delivery for a fully functional controller but upon booting it up and playing for a few hours, turns out that the controller now has stick drift...in a different direction.

I checked to try and repeat the whole process and now return this new controller but upon entering the serial number, I find out that this is a different refurbished controller which is now out of warranty so I can't return it.

So now I'm stuck with a faulty controller with stick drift that I can't return even though my original controller was within warranty.

What do I do?

Hi, I believe with faulty hardware you must send in the faulty controller to a repair centre before they send another one out. I would check this with a support rep or support chat first.

To request an item to be sent in for repairs or replacement, you will need to contact Xbox LIVE support via live chat or phone, and they can begin the returns/repairs procedure.

I sent in my day one edition controller to be fixed the outside shell wasnt *** in properly. The "repaired" one I got back was also faulty. The joysticks click when moved. Isn't that something that should be checked before shipping?? Do I have to wait another
2 months to get a broken controller sent to replace my broken controller??? Frustrated...

The thread is getting attention from loyal MS fans. I had to pay to send my faulty day one controller over to the Czech Republic, from what i am hearing the people of the USA do not pay to send their faulty peripherals back, it is a disgrace, the customer
service is none existent as well. I sent my faulty day one console in for repair, it was 24 hours old and in perfect cosmetic condition when i sent it off, they returned the same console to me and it was scratched to bits, sounded like a jet engine and still
would not read discs. Ended up sending back to the original seller who only offered a partial refund after receiving it back because of the cosmetic damage caused by the service center. Then after i had sent it back to the seller i received an email from
MS claiming they had offered a replacement unit not a repair. This was a blatant lie as i was only offered another repair not replacement.

Quick followup question.In order to receive the new controller does the faulty one i sent have to arrive first at the repair center and then they ship me the new one?
