Sensitive Xbox Controller

I've just bought a Xbox one S. However the controller is so sensitive that I'm unable to actually navigate any of the menus! I've just spent 2 hours trying to set it up and have given up. I've not been able to get as far as loading a game yet.

Is it supposed to be like this?

Can I slow down the controller?

Not impressed at all so far

i was under the impression that the controller update adjusted the sensitivity too.

"According to a Microsoft spokesperson, the controller tweak will be part of the February update to the Xbox One, and will automatically take effect when an Xbox One controller syncs with the console. Specifically, it will "increase the sensitivity of the
outer boundaries of the thumbsticks on the Xbox One controller.""

you can also turn down the sensitivity of the aiming in the controller options

X sensitivity controls how fast you look left and right

Y sensitivity controls how fast you look up and down

As a consumer, if you are not happy with your purchase I encourage you to exchange or return it for a refund.

MS typically has very good quality control, but errors do happen.

I'm sure your happiness will return when you see all the great things that Xbox has to offer you.

Hi Aaron,

What kind of controller do you have?

If it is an Elite controller which uses Adjust trigger Sensitivity software you can set the game sensitivity on Windows PC.

However I recommend that you reset to default as a workaround step:

Press Windows+R keys and open the run box.

Type in joy.cpl and click on Enter.

Pick the controller from the Game controller’s window and tap on Properties.

Tap on reset to default and check if it makes any difference.

Unfortunately, things happen. You might consider returning it for a replacement if it happens again.
