Sennheiser U320 + stereo adapter problem

Discus and support Sennheiser U320 + stereo adapter problem in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I just wanted to voice that there are problems with the Sennheiser U320 when using the new xbox one stereo adapter. -Headset works without the adapter...     Sennheiser U320 + stereo adapter problem


    I just wanted to voice that there are problems with the Sennheiser U320 when using the new xbox one stereo adapter.

    -Headset works without the adapter minus the mic. When in a party the game audio is down a lot, but I'm pretty sure if the adapter worked right I could adjust it through the headset or the adapter.

    -When adapter is plugged in people can hear me, but I can't hear them.

    -When charge and play is plugged in along with the adapter there is a very loud buzzing sound.

    Another note on the 3.5 stereo to 3.5 stereo male to male cord...

    Make sure that the stereo jack on the TV is the same size as the stereo jack on your headphone "in-line" volume controller. Some headphones use a 2.5mm instead of a 3.5mm. The TV is most likely the 3.5mm size.

    Compare the one plugged into the TV with the one plugged into you headset "in-line" controller. If they are the same, you will have no trouble finding a 3.5 to a 3.5 (The jack on the Xbox One controller chat converter is 3.5mm also).

    If one is thinner than the other, you will have to find a 3.5mm stereo male jack to a 2.5mm stereo male jack. Where I live, the only place I found one was online (eBay is where I got one).

    what type of headset adapter do I need for a Sennheiser U320?

    I have seen several different types of headset adaptors and they all seem specific to different brands, none of them being Sennheiser. Is the Xbox branded stereo headset adapter the one I need? It is the headset that I use with my 360 so the jack is whatever
    it has to be to fit the 360 controller

    Sennheiser X320 - How To Set Up for the XBOX ONE

    Great price for Sennheiser quality. Not as good as their open back cans however this headset is a steal at the price and is about 10 steps above comparable Turtle Beach products. Especially considering the universal version (U320) is so much more expensive.

    Hopefully one day they make a console version of something comparable to their G4ME ONE with 7.1 Dolby Headphone Surround but until then, I just use my Sennheiser HD598's and Astro Mixamp.

    The 360 jack is 2.5mm. If you wanted to use the headset on the One you would need to purchase a 2.5mm - 3.5mm adapter.
