Sennheiser PC350 with Astro Mixamp, problems with headset adapter for XBOX ONE

I have the headset adapter and a pair of Sennheiser pc350s along with my astro mixamp.... during games or party chats whenever someone else talks an echo of their voice comes through my mic which I cannot hear but they can.... I have no idea if it is a adapter
problem... controller problem or controller wire problem. I have not read about a single solution and it is kind of ridiculous that it has been this difficult to set up a third party headset with the XB1 when it was as easy as 123 with the 360... any help
will be greatly appreciated.

Astro A50 Halo Edition & Covert Forces 3.5MM Jack Controller Question?

When you wear out the Astro's Check out Sennheiser. They make PC headsets but you can use them on a console if you have an Astro Mixamp. The Mic quality is ok on Astro's but not the best. I use a Sennheiser Game One with my Astro Mixamp Pro. The Mic
quality on the Senns rivals most stand mics and the depth of sound produced is so much better than Astro. Astro's do get very loud, but they are kinda lacking in the Bass.

It is a flaw of the controller, not the headset. I got it with my Turtle Beach X4s, and I get it now (however less so) with my combination Astro Mixamp and Sennheiser PC 350s.
