Sending Xbox for Repair - False Advertisement - No Free Box with Expedited Shipping

It seems like this is a problem for a lot of people. The expedited shipping option for sending in your console states underneath that "Available only at FedEx Office Stores: Take your device and service order number to a FedEx Office store. You'll be provided
with a free box, packing material and an expedited shipping label.
Find a FedEx Office Store"

I messaged support and was told by one representative that it was included and to come back if I was charged at Fed Ex. Sure enough, I come back and the rep ohline says she can't help and sets up a call with support. Charlie tells me there is nothing he
can do since he can't see that I paid for a box and that it never was meant to be included.

Here's the deal. It's not that I had to pay for a box, it's that it states that the box/packing is included. I, the customer, was right but I guess I was wrong. A multi billion dollar company can't admit to a mistake on their website and appease a loyal
customer? Not even $20 credit on my account? I even sent the rep online the picture of the statement on the repair site. At the end of the day, I'm out of of $17.31 because of false advertisement and Xbox/Microsoft didn't take care of their customer.

Xbox One Repair

Hi,

My Xbox One has been having trouble reading discs lately so I am sending it in. I decided to pay for expedited shipping since it came with a free box for shipping. So, I headed over to the FedEx Office (like the confirmation email told me to) and they tried
to charge me 15.00 for a box. When I told them I bought the expedited shipping with a free box, they said that was not possible. Help!? I tried to reach XBox support through the chat and through twitter, but I have yet to get a response. (Chat wouldn't from
my end)

With that said, I would not have gone to FedEx without a box if I had known that they would charge me. I ended up buying the box from FedEx after waiting for Xbox Support for 40 mins. I am not happy about that experience.

Is there anyway I can get my money back for the shipping?

 

Xbox Repair and Expedited Shipping

I have placed an order for repair, and have paid for expedited shipping TWICE, and NOT ONCE has a shipping label been available to print. There is no information on where to send my console for repair, just a nice note in my Service Box that my order is
"In Process". Have spent many hours with the online support staff trying to get a shipping label, to no avail. Amazing to think that Microsoft has turned into a garden-variety internet scammer.

 

I went into a FedEx Office store today and gave the clerk my Service Order number and my Xbox 360. She asked if I wanted to buy a box and packing materials for the console. I told her that it was included in the shipping that I selected on the Xbox website
(FedEx Office Store Drop off - Expedited Shipping). She typed the SO number into her system and informed me that I only paid for shipping (no free box or shipping materials).

I called the FedEx customer service number and the guy couldn't find anything that said I should have gotten a box and shipping materials for free. He told me to call Microsoft.

What a waste of time!!!

I eventually griped my way up to get to the "Escalated" Customer support. More like the people that can help support. You are supposed to get a free box and packing materials. I had my receipt so microsoft refunded me for the box. Still a large hassle
but you can get it if you want to spend the time.

By the way, take a good look at your Xbox when it gets back. Mine was damaged and scratched all to crap. I then got a Advanced Replacement because my initial problem wasn't fixed and I had damage. My new console had issues too. Hopefully you avoid these
issues.
