Sending in a repair and getting the same controller back

Because in most cases the controls are susbstitous and there really may not be the same model that it has.

If you send the controls to Microsoft, send only the controls, do not send the accessories that come with it.

Unfortunately that's an issue if you have to send in any specialty console or controllers. You're never guaranteed to get the same thing back. With controllers, all they offer is a replacement and not a repair of them.

Just send the basic controller, don`t include any of the accessories. Definitely don`t send the battery back with it, or even the battery cover as I`ve known people get a controller back from repair with the battery cover missing.

There are ports on the back of the console. Perhaps try one of those or get a wireless controller. Other than that you'd have to send it in for repairs as discussions of self-repair are not allowed on the forums.

Hi, in the returns information, it states to only return the specific item, as you will possibly not get back the same item.

I returned an elite controller, kept all removable parts and packed it in an ordinary cardboard box. I got a returned one in bubble wrap and a jiffy bag.

If your Xbox needed repair, you only needed to send that back, no cables, no controller and no original packing. Chances are it is not your console, or controller. I would raise a repair for the controller.
