Sending and Receiving Messages

So I have an issue to where I cant send or receive messages to a friend. My message will say sending for like 5 to 15 minutes and disappear i checked it this morning on my Xbox and it shows that the messages sent. So I figured it fixed its self. but that
wasn't the case the messages that I sent last night yet again disappeared. nor will my message send. this is only happening to one friend. it works normally for everyone else. is it possible that my chat has to many messages in it? I have tried deleting some
of the messages to make space. But they say they were deleted but keep popping back up and going away. I also had an issue where I invited my friend to the party while the messaging issue was happening they couldn't hear me. I checked my reputation and it
shows that its green so that is good. is their anyone that has any idea on how i can fix this. i have fully powered down the console 5 times I've signed in and signed out multiple times.

i can hear them and they can hear me if they send me a party invite. but when they were in my party they couldnt hear me. i think my account has a bad glitch or something

Hi, sorry to here you are having issues. Is this the same on the app too? Can you send or receive them via the app on your phone or a PC? Also are you in the Insider Program at all?

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are experiencing difficulties with being able to sent or receive massages on your Xbox console.

There could possibly be some intermittent connection issues occurring that are prevent you from being able to correctly see these messages.

If when you test your network, you do not receive any error codes, I would first recommend that you

remove your account and re-add it to see if this helps alleviate this matter, just make sure you know the email and password associated with your account before you do this.

Give this a try and let us know if this works for you.

Is there a chance your friend accidentally blocked you? The only reason I am asking that is because you can’t send messages to them or hear them in the party chat.
