    Send replacements before receiving faulty goods


    I've just had to request a replacement controller for my Series S because of a common fault (Right Trigger Sticking) and now i have to send my controller back (which can take up to 8 days for them to receive and process) then wait up to 10 working days for
    a replacement to be sent and delivered, leaving me with a brand new console that i can't play for what could be over two weeks - especially over the festive period and during a pandemic when most deliveries are delayed.

    There should be a process in place where they send the replacement then you have say 10 days to send the faulty one or they charge you for the replacement. This way they don't lose out and gamers aren't left unable to play.

    If it is under warranty, you should be able to send it back and get a replacement for free. I would contact support first. If it is under warranty, they should send you a replacement one once they receive the faulty one.

    If it is not under warranty, you could attempt to send it back for repairs, but this may also cost money.

    That sounds like a faulty wire or short. Send for a replacement.

    Hi, I believe with faulty hardware you must send in the faulty controller to a repair centre before they send another one out. I would check this with a support rep or support chat first.

    To request an item to be sent in for repairs or replacement, you will need to contact Xbox LIVE support via live chat or phone, and they can begin the returns/repairs procedure.

    well i received my new replacement controller and can say it was faulty the first one as the new replacement works with the turtle beach adapter and A button is better on new one. so good for anyone to know the adapter is compatible with the elite 2 controller.

    Hi there,

    If you never had this issue before the new controller and you have tried all the usually troubleshooting options, then I would send it back for either a replacement or refund as it's clearly faulty from your description.
