Send my faulty controller, when I first receive the replacement controller

My controller is a faulty (specifically the A button is sticky making it not very responsive). So my experience when playing games isn't desirable, but I can use it to play some games and do other things with the console.

But I was using the online support and found that because my controller is faulty, I can get a replacement controller due to the warranty.

However I don't want to send my controller out wait somewhere between 2-3 weeks as I've been told. As I cant use my console at all and there a new game (Batman Arkham Knight) out in 3 days that I've waited for since last year, as there's very few quality
games out.

Is it at all possible to have the replacement controller sent out to me first, then I send my faulty one (I have no reason not to send mine, as you have all my details). As I'd not use my console for 2-3 weeks.

Hello everyone !Little story time :

I bought a new xbox one (the division bundle) on amazon last week and sadly when i received it, I noticed that the RB button was broken. I had already used the game code before noticing this. When I did some talk with microsoft, they would change the controller but I had to pay to send the controller back and once they receive it, they would send me a new one in 5 to 10 days.

After that, I talked with amazon and they said no problem, just send us the whole package and i'm sending another one as a replacement right now. Just send us the bundle with the broken controller by may 21 .

So obviously, I would go with amazon because they're shipping it right away and i don't even have to pay for the shipping, and I can get a temporary controller from a friend and still enjoy my xbox.

My question is, may I just take the new bundle they sent me, switch the controller with the faulty one and then return that new bundle witht he broken controller. That way I should not have trouble with The Division redeem code

Is the bundled controller linked to the console bundle by serial number or something and it would cause me trouble?

I'm asking here because amazon staff does not seem to understand my questions when I talk to them about a redeem code that is now unrefundable because I used it.

 

Sending a controller replacement without sending the faulty one first?

can Microsoft send me a controller replacement without the obligation to send them the faulty one if I want to keep it (for spare parts for example)? Is it even possible?

 

just get a spare controller and send the faulty one for replacement.

you wont regret having a spare controller for future problems of this nature.
