    Selling XBOX with Gamepass


    Hi all,

    I need help with this issue please.

    I’m looking to sell my series S.

    Does the game pass which was linked to the console when purchased, stay with the console.

    IE , the person I sell to will have access to the game pass?

    Hi there Nick! Christopher here, an Xbox fan and been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. If you leave your account on the Xbox, yes, he will have all the games you purchased, but if you remove your account, he won't be able to play the games neither your gamepass!

    Hi,

    the Game Pass and other subs are related to your account and not to the console.

    Trading an account would be illegal and could cause a console ban for the new owner !

    So before you sell it make a full factory reset !

    What is legal, if you have a friend with a Xbox you can download your profile on his/her Xbox and make it your home console. Then your friend will be able to play the Game Pass games with your sub.

    Edit: PS: ...and don't forget to switch off the auto renewal of the game pass sub in your account!

    Well not to mention they still actively sell it plus the dlc and advertise with it on gamepass which they also sell.
