    Selling Xbox One - Can I transfer the warranty


    Good Evening all

    I'm just about to sell off my Xbox One as I am moving out of the UK to sunnier climes. I've already deregistered my account from the console, but is there anything else that I should be doing, and is it possible to transfer the remaining warranty to the
    new owner.

    Data transfer from xbox to other source

    Hi guys,

    I hope this is in the right area.

    So here's the scenario, I'm selling my console to get a new one at a later date. I know you can transfer data from xbox HD to xbox HD but can you transfer the entire hard drive to say my mac and then reinstall it all on the new xbox at a later date?

    Purchased Arcade Games work but sliver accounts only have trails on same Xbox.

    I did have to send in my Xbox under warranty repair. They transfer the license for you I believe. Besides I don't have the old one be able to complete a transfer MS kept it.

    The warranty usually is registered with the console. So as soon as the new owner registers his device at myservice.xbox.com, the warranty will be under his account.

    Hi, if it was just the account that got suspended you're good to go ahead and sell the Xbox if you wish to, I don't believe the warranty is transferable though,

    different countries have different rules, in the UK new tech has a 1 year warranty from date of purchase. then you can also purchase extended warranty for new products.

    If used but bought from a shop/retail unit then the minimum warranty is 3 months but alot of stores in the UK will bump it up to 1 year (this kind of warranty is not a manufacturers warranty but the store itself).

    warranties to not transfer to a new owner if you then sell it on.

    If they bought it from some no name site online or other unofficial channel this could impact the warranty. Also, this might mean that when you buy it from them (they are not an authorized seller) it technically voids the warranty.

    Yes you can sell your xbox after wiping your account.

    The warranty is for Hardware and applies to you only.

    "(a) During the Warranty Period, Microsoft warrants,
    only to

    You, that the Xbox One or Accessory will not malfunction under Normal Use Conditions."

    You are good to go as long as your xbox complies to warranty terms.

    When it malfunctions the buyer needs your support to get it repaired.
