    Selling Xbox 360


    Hi there , I am selling my sons Xbox 360 to make way for his new Xbox one s . Do I need to remove any of my own information that may be stored on there or need to reset it to the factory settings. There are a few games on there that I would like to stay
    on it too and pass on to the new owner though . Not sure what to do to make it ready to sell .

    Any help would be much appreciated, thanks !

    Best thing to do would be to factory reset it. You can't transfer ownership of digital games to anyone else.

    Hello Resonat,

    thanks for coming to the forums with your question. Are you wanting to retain the information or just wipe completely. On the Xbox 360 there is a removable Hard drive( if the console has one) that the information is stored, which you can remove and keep
    for yourself. If you decide to keep, one that purchases the console can purchase a hard drive for themselves. Also has an internal Hard drive you can go into the storage of the

    internal hard drive and just delete all from there    . there isn't a reset to factory on the Xbox 360 except for network settings.

    No it will not just removing your profile from a console only removes it from that device. it does not close the account or anything like that.
