    Selling my old XBOX, what do I need to erase?


    Selling old XBOX, got the XBOX S. I've deleted my games & profile, is that enough to make sure whoever I sell it to doesn't have my account/credit card info? Thanks.

    couple of questons about selling xbox360 and switching to xbox one.

    I'm selling my xbox 360 a week before I'm getting my xbox one.What do I need to do about my account? Is it connected to that particuler 360 console and what do I need to do before I sell that 360 console to someone I don't know? I want to keep my account
    and just switch it to the xbox one I'm getting,but I'm confused about how selling my 360 a week before I get my xbox one is going to dictate what I need to do to keep my original account.Could someone tell me what I need to do and what order I need to do
    it.Again,I want to take my account off of the 360 I'm selling and move it to a xbox one that I am buying.The monkey wrench in that simple process is that I am selling the xbox 360 a week before a get my new xbox one.Thanks

    Yes it will wipe everything on the new HDD (bar pre-loaded content), transfer everything from the old HDD, and then erase the information on the old HDD.

    I'm sure you can select what to transfer, or it will do EVERYTHING including music automatically, though I am not 100% and you may need a USB stick to do this transfer separately.

    So done with xbox already

    Now it kicks me out and updates the xbox to the old dashboard and erases everyrhing!!!
    Doesn't anyone read when they signup? It did exactly what it stated it would do.

    Be honest and post the intended price you believe your items are worth if you post it at the same price however you will be less likely to sell it but if you adjust the price or at least bundle all the items together you will be more likely to sell the items
    as intended. As for the second part unfortunately yes it is for the best that you remove your account from the Xbox entirely so this would also included the digital games associated with said account. the reason is for safety of personal information and access
    to case sensitive stuff such as bank info, address and what have you. Hope this helps try Ebay or mercari you'll be able to sell in no time though with mercari for some odd reason.
