Selling Digital content with Xbox One.

I'm planning on saving for a car and in order I'm selling my Xbox one, I got the Assassin's Creed bundle and downloaded the titles with my Account on the machine. If I sell it, does the next owner has the rights to play those games if he makes that his home
xbox? How does Digital content works in these cases.

    :)

  2. Selling Xbox One, advice required.

I'm not selling the digital content on, I just want someone else to have access to it rather than no one having access to it ever again. Like i said in the post above yours, I wouldn't pay extra for a console with digital content on it, so i wouldn't expect
anyone else to pay me extra for it.

Question on selling my xbox one

I am selling my Xbox one but before I do I wanted to clear something up.

It has 7 physical games and 5 digital games on xbox, it is my understanding that I can not sell it with my gamertag?

Once I format the hard drive the digital games are gone?

I have seen a lot of people selling their xbox one with 10 digital games and giving them their gamertag details?

    Hi there,

On the Xbox One, when account makes a console it's home console, that shares the purchasing account's license with all users on the console without the purchasing account needing to be logged in.

Once the account changes it's home console, the previous home console no longer has the license to share the content unless the purchasing account is logged into the console that now has to be connected to the internet.

Let me know if this helps.

So the console itself doesn't hold any rights to the content whatsoever. It does not work a la Xbox 360, where people with a different account could access the downloaded content originally installed in the console its first time?

So I just can't play those games with another account in that same xbox one, without the original purchaser account?

For the purchasing account's (let's call this profile A) Home Xbox, every other profile on that console can indeed play games bought by Profile A. Profile B, C, D and E can all play games on Profile A's Home Xbox that Profile A bought even when Profile A
    is not signed in.

However, if Profile A then changes their Home Xbox to another Xbox One, the other profiles will not be able to play Profile A's game on the previous console anymore.

Now, to your original point - you want to sell the console. It is advisable that you delete your account off the console before you sell it. Now, the new buyer will still be able to play your digital games, but if you were to ever change your Home Xbox in
future then they would lose access to the games - and so to avoid an angry buyer you probably would not want to do this. And from an account security standpoint, it is incredibly inadvisable to leave your account on the console as this compromises your account
and personal information, while from the Xbox Live Code of Conduct's and Terms of Use's standpoint you would be violating those agreements and risking enforcement action (suspensions or bans) for both the account and console.

In short, the new buyer would be able to play the games, at least initially -- but you probably should not advertise that as those console licences could be revoked the next time you use an Xbox One, and you risk enforcement actions and potentially compromise
the security of your account and personal information.

    Hope this helps clarify things.
