    could you sell just the 2.5mm 3.5mm converter cable. Now that the new controller only requires it.

    Been looking at chinese parts on ebay all day...still no luck

    I have the polk melee headset was supposed to get free upgrade to xbox one but didn't so i bought the adapter but now also need a 3.5mm cable as the one that came with has it's own mic which overrides the headset. will any 3.5mm work or do i need a

    The headset came with a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter. Does your headset not have the 2.5mm cable to connect to the controller from the old 360?

    Xbox One headset adapter question

    So I have the Xbox One headset adapter, and the 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable messed up today. I know it's the cable, and not the actual adapter because I was moving the cable around and it worked only in certain angles.

    I was just wondering if anyone uses alternate 2.5mm/3.5mm cables for their headset adapter. Tried looking some up but some reviews said that it didn't work for the Xbox One adapter. I just don't feel like cashing in another $25 for a headset adapter, but if I have to, I will. I also no longer have warranty.

    If your headset has a 2.5mm wire you'll need a "2.5mm female to 3.5mm male" wire. In theory you should be able to use both audio and microphone from the headset when doing that, if you've previously purchased the chat adapter which fitted on the old Xbox
    One controllers that will also still work on the newer controllers which have a 3.5mm jack.

    If there is no way to adjust the chat volume via the cable itself or another hardware device connected to the headset then you can still change them in the settings of your Xbox One.

    HELP! - Xbox One Headset Adapter

    Getting similar issues with GameCom 777 series. Two 3.5mm jacks connected to a splitter then connected the headset adapter. The splitter is a OMTP - CTIA. Game and chat audio worked fine but my friends couldn't hear my voice. I found out that we have to
    use the 3.5mm - 2.5mm cable supplied with the headset adapter. I've now ordered a 2.5mm male - 3.5mm female adapter. Going to give that a try, hopefully it works. I will end up with a lot of cable/adapters but oh well.

    Has anyone found another possible solution?

    Some of my friends use this headset with no problems andhave just purchased one my self. your issue can be easily resolved by purchasing a cable (On Ebay for a few quid). with a 2.5mm plug one end and a 3.5mm plug the other.

    The share port on the headset is exactly that. you need to use the 2.5mm chat port for your chat to be heard. hope this helps
