Selection Issues, Owned Games

In the last few days, I have had issues with my Xbox One not doing anything when I press the A button. I have tried 2 different controllers, but when the XBOX gets like this, I can see the borders around the items I am trying to select do move, so the signal
from the controller is getting there, the XBOX just isn't responding.

Also, I have games on an external hard drive that I have owned for a long time. These games show up on my list of games, but when I try to launch them, it tells me I don't own it and to go to the store to see the game. When I get to the store, the option
it gives me is to play the game because I already own it.

Pre-Release Games are safe to play?

a store that is owned by a family, usually older, that is passed from generation to generation.

It's always 1 store, 1 location, and usually they have small selections of anything.

To clarify, it's not just HC CTF. There are plenty who have stated they prefer each of the other game types exclusively.

I got hooked on CTF back in the CoD2 days. Something about breaking down a camping defense and attackers trying to break down my defense that I like. Taking a flag from their base to mine. Knowing that I have their flag and that they are waiting for me at
my base. I just find the whole thing about it more enjoyable and challenging than the other gametypes. None of the other CoDs since have had a decent CTF until Black Ops and now they've kinda taken that away from me again. You either like it or you don't.

Sorry to hear about the issues you've been having on the console. What troubleshooting steps have you tried yet to fix it? Let's have you try to Power Cycle the console and see if that helps first.

Power cycling the console has been the only way I have been able to fix the issue so far. However it is not a perminant fix. Eventually it has happened again and again. There isn't anything in the way of the console or Kinect. Is this an issue that has
been reported before?

 

Not that we've seen. Let's have you try to perform a full

Factory Reset, but make sure to keep your Games & apps. This will refresh the console fully, but you won't need to reinstall any games or apps. You will need to re-sign into any profiles you had on the console again though. Local save games will also be
removed, but they will sync again as soon as you launch the games since they are stored in the cloud.
