The consoles might not be getting the electrical power it needs to operate correctly if you're using a power board with other devices connected to it.

Don't overload your wall outlet, extension cord, power strip, or other electrical receptacle. Confirm that these are rated to handle the total current drawn by your Xbox (as shown on the power supply), and by any other devices on the same AC circuit.

try to powercycle your xbox by holding the power button for 5-10 seconds to see if it fixes the issue

Powercycling the xbox did not solve the problem.

In fact, I am having the exact same problem on 2 separate boxes.

What I have discovered - This is only an issue IF I AM SIGNED INTO XBOX LIVE. If not signed in, the 'my games and apps' (or selecting manage game from a game screen) screen loads as expected.

If not signed in to XBOX Live, while on the "My Games and Apps" screen and then log into XBOX LIve, it, again after about5 5 seconds, fades to black again.

This happened to me about 1 hour ago. Just like you i can still access side menu and play games/apps ects. But home screen fades into black screen.

Glad to know its not just me and on the bright side i can still play games/apps.

When this happens, have you used the TV remote to turn the TV off and back on?

I've had similar occurrences, where the screen goes blue, in my case, a TV setting, and restarting the TV usually restores the screen.

Otherwise I do a Full shutdown, reset console power supply and restart in sequence, TV,

AVR, console last of all.

I'm having the same issue on Windows 11 Xbox App, tried everything that people said here, but still black screen after the spaceship. Streaming works fine on my iPhone. Something curious is that even if its a black screen I can still hear the xbox sounds and games, but only the black screen is the issue...
