    Selecting games that do NOT require Xbox Live


    Hey there! So I have a really dumb question for all of you gaming pros. I currently own an Xbox 360. My daughters (under 10yrs old) love to play on but we are getting tired of the same old games. They actually play alot of the original Xbox games on it. I recently
    signed up for GameFly so we can try out some new games before shelling out the money for something that might suck. However, we do NOT have it connected to the internet. Nor do we plan on ever connecting it to the internet.

    My main question is how can I tell if a game disk requires Xbox Live (internet connection) to play? I've noticed the boxes say "Live", "Xbox Live" or nothing at all in the top right corner. If the box says "Live" on the cover does that mean it can only be
    played with Xbox Live? It will not work at all without internet connection? GameFly doesn't do a very good job on referencing whether or not Live is required. I don't really want to waste my time renting games that won't work without internet.

    Hacking.

    If you suspect there's a hacker on Xbox Live, you can do that by selecting the gamer tag and file a complaint.

    with the 360 you do not need to be online. You will however for updates. This does not require gold just an internet connection. The Xbox live symbol just means online multiplayer. I hope this helps

    There are only a handful of 360 games that require a gold connection in order to play, but the majority of 360 games do have a single player mode that can be played offline. The only games I can think of that do require gold are Destiny and Plants vs. Zombies:
    Garden Warfare. I'm not sure how Gamefly lists games, but if you search for the games on Xbox, the gold requirement is usually listed first in the game's description if that helps.

    Not all games will use the same information and therefore you will not receive an email about it.

    These steps can help you, give it a try.

    Check for updates on Windows Update, update everything including optional/additional updates.

    1. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store app in the Windows menu, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset. Do this with the game too.

    2. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

    3. Open the Microsoft Store app, library>get updates and update everything.

    4. Press the Windows Button then type Services.

    Right-click over the Services App from the list of results.

    Then select Run as Administrator

    Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:

    IP Helper

    Xbox Live Auth Manager,

    Xbox Live Game Save,

    Xbox Live Networking Service,

    Gaming Services.

    Do this with each of the services listed above.

    Right-click over the service and select Properties.

    Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic.

    If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services.

    Click Apply and OK to save changes.

    5. Restart your PC, log in to both apps and see if that solves the problem.

    2. You can try changing your region on your Xbox by following these steps
    ... From your Xbox’s home screen, press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    ... Navigate to the furthest right-hand options for Profile & system and select Settings.
    ... Scroll down until you highlight the options for System and select Language & location.
    ... Under Country or region, select Change country or region.
    ... Choose a new country or region from the list and confirm.

    I understand you need help on your backwards compatible problem.

    Try resetting the console for now and see if this helps:

    NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

    No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    2. Select Settings.

    3. Select System.

    4. Select Console info

    5. Select Reset console.

    6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

    This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

    If that does not work, try deleting Xbox 360 storage.

    Press the Xbox button  on your controller to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage.

    On the Manage storage devices screen, select:

    Clear local Xbox 360 storage.

    If that does not work, please do this:

    1. Launch a Backwards Compatible game.

    2. Press the View and menu buttons at the same time.

    3. Select Manage Storage and continue

    4. Select Profiles and find your gamertag and delete it.

    5. Press B to back out of the screen and then press the View and Menu again to bring up the menu

    6. Select Sign In or press X on the controller

    7. Select Download Profile and download your profile again.

    Random disconnections from xbox live - FIFA

    Try looking for any corrupted game saves.

    Select settings, System, and then Storage.

    Select the storage location, and then press the A button.

    Select Games and Apps, and then press the A button.

    Select the game, and then press the A button.

    also do this for profiles if that did not work leave a reply and we can look for more solutions.
