    Select few online friends appear offline. Appear offline not checked.


    I have a handful of friends that appear offline. Even though they are online. They have checked their settings and appear offline is not checked. I have heck my privacy setting and network settings. Everything is open.

    Does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it?

    It's very frustrating and disappointing.

    Ok so I select appear offline which shows in the box and according to what you said I will appear offline but the box has now changed to appear online, but what you say next is that if what I see says appear online then I'm appearing online, so am I online or offline? lol damn it Microsoft.

    My friend is constantly offline, despite not choosing to appear offline.

    But was he online and appeared offline? I couldn't quite understand, but see if your friend selected the option to go offline.

    That's actually not an issue. Your friends are all most likely appearing "offline," you can set how you want to appear online and there are few options. Online, Offline, and Do Not Disturb. You should ask them what their appearing online settings are.
    At least, that's what it sounds like the problem is. A lot of people choose to appear offline, its a natural thing.

    Also< I would like to add that you can check to see if the show offline option might be changed. Select your profile and if it says appear online then the accounts have been showing offline. Just simply select the option to appear online again.
